European Real Estate Society Annual Prizes 2008
As in previous years, ERES is proud to announce that, through the support of our sponsors,
we are offering the following awards for best papers presented at the 2008 Annual Conference.
A.Awards directly linked to publications.
All papers submitted to Awards 1 - 3 will be considered for publication in the journal noted.
1. Gerald Brown Memorial Prize for the Best Paper on Indirect Property Investment, sponsored by Emerald (€1,000) -
The winning paper and the those short listed for the prize will be considered for publication in a special ERES
Edition of the Journal of European Real Estate Research (JERER).
2. Journal of Property Research, Prize for the Best Paper in Real Estate Economics, sponsored by Routledge (€1,000) -
The winning paper and those short-listed for the prize will be considered for publication in a special ERES Edition of
the Journal of Property Research.
3. The Appraisal Journal Prize for the Best Paper on Real Estate Valuation, sponsored by the Appraisal Institute Education
Trust. ($1,000) - The winning paper will be considered for publication in The Appraisal Journal.
B. Awards indirectly linked to publications
All winning papers submitted to Awards 4 - 12 will also be considered for publication in the Journal of European Real Estate
Research (JERER).
4. IPD Prize for the Best Paper on Real Estate Portfolio Analysis (€1,000)
5. Grosvenor Prize for the Best Paper on Real Estate Development (€1,000)
6. Property & Portfolio Research Prize for the Best Paper on Real Estate Forecasting (€1,000)
7. RICS Award for the for the Best Paper on Housing (€1,000)
8. RICS Award for the Best Paper on Sustainability (€1,000)
9. Centre for the Study of Real Estate Brokerage & Markets, Cleveland State University Prize for the Best Paper on Real Estate
Agency and Brokerage ($1,000)
10. European Real Estate Society Award for the Best Paper Presented at the Doctoral Session A (€1,000)
11. American Real Estate Society Award for the Best Paper Presented at the Doctoral Session B ($1,000)
12. Society of Property Researcher's Prize for the Best Paper on Real Estate Market Analysis (€1,000)
13. EFG Eurobank Prize for the Best Paper on Banking and Real Estate (€1,000)
To be eligible for an award, the paper must be presented at the conference and not have been published in any journal prior to submission.
You can only apply for one award with any one paper. Full details of how to apply for each award will be provided to each delegate with
their conference information.
