Ladies and Gentlemen,
We have the true pleasure to invite you to the 5th International Conference on Work Environment and Cardiovascular Diseases organised by the Nofer Institute of Occupational Medicine in Lodz, under the auspices of the International Commission on Occupational Health (ICOH) and the World Health Organisation (WHO). Professor Barbara Kudrycka, Poland’s Minister of Science and Higher Education has kindly agreed to perform as the Conference’s honorary sponsor.
This is already the fifth Conference (for the first time to be organised in Poland) devoted to the question of occupation-related circulatory diseases. This is an extant issue, because those diseases continue to be one of major problems in the contemporary population, and their connection with occupational work has been often underestimated.
The participants of the Conference shall include most renowned experts on circulatory disease risk factors from 25 countries. Lectures shall be delivered for example by Professor Tage Kriestensen of Denmark and the authors of two theories describing the impact of stress on the circulatory function, Professor Robert Karasek from USA and Professor Johannes Siegriest from Germany. We hope that the Conference shall serve as the forum for exchange of opinions and experiences between experts in various sectors of medical sciences, sociologists, psychologists, and public health/health care decision makers. The Conference shall be held in Krakow, the birthplace of Polish science, on 27-30 September, 2009, at the International Centre of Culture, Rynek Główny 25, Krakow, Poland.
Hoping to meet you in Krakow,
We remain,
Sincerely yours,
for the Organising Committee

"Perhaps I did want to go out of town?
A man craves for traveling.
The cabbie waited and dropped off,
the sleep lengthened his moustache
and didn't he become enchanted
by the wind and the night and Ben Ali?

THE ENCHANTED CARRIAGE
THE ENCHANTED HORSE"
